Malaysian Association for Powerlifting Signs Memorandum of Agreement with ONI Malaysia

The Malaysian Association for Powerlifting (MAP) has officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement with ONI Malaysia, appointing ONI Malaysia as the official main platform equipment provider from 2026 to 2029.

Under this agreement, ONI Malaysia will supply the main competition platform equipment for all National Championships & National Qualifier events sanctioned by MAP, including plates, barbells, and racks, bringing world-class standards to powerlifting competitions across the country.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to raising the standard of powerlifting in Malaysia,” said Faezal Norizan, Managing Director of ONI Malaysia. “By bringing ONI to the MAP platform from 2026 to 2029, we are aligning Malaysian powerlifting with the highest global standards. Better equipment means better execution, and we’re looking forward to seeing the community thrive on world-class equipment.”

MAP President Duzbionjit Singh shared his pride in the agreement, noting that it will allow MAP powerlifting meets to be conducted using world-class equipment consistent with the standards seen at international competitions, right here on home soil.

This agreement marks an important step forward for the continued growth of Malaysian powerlifting, strengthening the competition experience for athletes and supporting the long-term development of the sport nationwide.
